What is monbebe's reading challenge 2024?
monbebe's reading challenge 2024 is a fandom event for all the monbebes who love to read! by giving mx inspired prompts each month, hopefully both reading and waiting for mx will be a little more fun. and hopefully it'll also let you connect to some fellow bookish monbebes ☺
How does this event work?
for every month of 2024, there will be two mx song titles posted as reading prompts for the month. the idea is to use these prompts to choose a book you're going to read that month! there will also be two book suggestions per prompt to make finding a book a little easier.the prompts will look as follows:
[mx song title]: a story about [explanation of the prompt]
How do I participate?
as with any other reading challenge, you simply choose a prompt and start reading!
you can use the prompts as guidance for your reading choices throughout the year and if you want to connect with other monbebes who are doing the same, you can post your reading updates under #mbbsread2024 ☺
your posts under this hashtag will be retweeted on the account @mbbbooks during the year.
Do I have to read a book for every prompt?
short answer: no ☺long answer: you can use the prompt list however you see fit, depending on your own personal reading goals ☺
if your goal is to read a book each month, you can choose one prompt a month; if it's more, you can also read for both prompts. if a book a month is too much, you can also choose to read a book every other month. feel free to adjust to a pace of reading and doing prompts that feels good for you!
Do I have to read the suggested books?
also no! the suggested books will be books I personally find interesting or have already read; they are put there to make things easier for monbebes who don't know what to read and to give an example of the prompt, but they're only suggestions. you are very welcome to find books you wanna read that fit the prompts!
